Severity of Tardive Dyskinesia
Tardive Dyskinesia symptoms can range from mild to severe, based on the frequency and intensity of the involuntary movements. When the Tardive Dyskinesia is classified as severe, then abnormal movements of the tongue may occur over 60 times per minute. These abnormal movements usually decrease with emotional arousal, increase with relaxation and disappear during sleep.
